The marble mountains
The Marble Mountains is a group of 5 mountains that rise suddenly from the surrounding plain, near the coast. Named after the elements of Five Elements, there are ‘water’, ‘fire’, ‘wood’, ‘earth’ and ‘metal’ mountains here. To see its sights, visitors need to climb many stairs.

Here is the list of places which you will visit in the Marble Mountains:

– Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village: see lots of marble sculptures that vary in size, shape and color. Local people started carving stone to make them 300 years ago and now this long-standing tradition is a national intangible cultural heritage. See more details

– Linh Ung Pagoda: the most well-known Buddhist temple in the mountain. Built in the 19th century, it’s the oldest one in three famous pagodas of the same name in the area.

– Huyen Khong Cave: the biggest cave in the mountain. Visitors will be amazed by fascinating beams of light falling from its ceiling and learn about local beliefs.

– Tam Thai Pagoda: one of the holiest Buddhist temples in the area. It’s constructed in the 19th century by request of Minh Mang king whose father promised to build it many years before.
Hai Van pass
Go through the most beautiful coastal road in Vietnam. It’s a 20-kilometers-long mountain route that is famous for many turns and fascinating panoramic views stretching from the mountain to the sea. At its top, at the elevation of 500 meters, there are historical remains dating from Vietnamese feudal, French and American periods. Drive on Hai Van Pass is a must have experience for those who like adventures.

Visit a beautiful brackish water lagoon that is located at the foot of Hai Van Pass and Bach Ma National Park. It’s honored to be one of Vietnam’s prettiest lagoons. Here, besides photo opportunities, visitors have the chance to learn about local oyster farming and pearl farming.

Visit a natural spring running through dense forests of Bach Ma National Park. Have the chance to go swimming in rock pools with cool water. During the hot summer, this is the favorite place for both locals and visitors.

Temples in Hoi An Old Town require a dress code. To express the respect to the Buddha and gods, locals wear formally to make sure that their airmpits, navel and knees are covered. Just follow what locals do. A long sarong is recommended to cover necesssary parts, and easy to remove when needed. Sun glasses, sun cream, hat/cap, cash, camera and rain poncho (rainy season only) also should be prepare.
