This tour takes you to My Lai Massacre Memorial (or Son My Memorial) which commemorates 504 victims in My Lai Massacre. It occurs on 16th March 1968 and shocked the whole world. Today, it’s the most well-documented mass killing event in the Vietnam War, a terrifying conflict lasted from 1955 to 1975 (part of the Cold War). Other highlights of the tour are the 125-meters-tall Lady Buddha statue (the tallest one in Vietnam and Southeast Asia) and My Khe Beach, the most beautiful beach in the area. Have lunch with local foods.

My Lai Massacre Memorial Site (Son My Memorial)
In My Lai Massacre Memorial (Son My Memorial), visitors will do:
– watching a video about the massacre (English)
– visiting the museum to see pictures, artifacts and that are from both Vietnamese and American sides as well as name list of all 504 victims
– seeing the statue, the bell pavilion and the temple which commemorate 504 victims
– See the original remains of the massacre such as houses of victims (partly ruined), the ditch where the American solders killed villagers, a temple burnt, tombs of victims,…
– exploring a restored village which has rice fields, water buffalo, farmers, grapefruit gardens, thatched houses, bomb shelters,…
– listening from stories and explanations from local guide
My Khe Beach (Quang Ngai)
Visit the most beautiful beach in the area. It has a long white and fine stretch of sand, with clear and blue water in the front. You have time here to sightsee and take pictures.
Have lunch with local food
Giant lady buddha statue
Visit the tallest Lady Buddha statue in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. It’s 125 meters tall, therefore we can see this statue from a far distance. In Vietnam, Lady Buddha is also known as the Goddess of Mercy or Goddess of Sea. The Lady Buddha of Quang Ngai lies within Minh Duc Pagoda, a huge Buddhist temple sitting atop the mountain (Thien Ma Mountain or Heavenly Horse Mountain). From here, you can see a beautiful view to Tra Khuc River, the largest river in the area and Co Luy Bridge across its estuary.
After tour
Go back to Da Nang or Hoi An by the coastal road. In the city center, our guide and driver will drop you off in the hotel. The tour ends.
